Welcome to The Little Book of Play…
The Little Book of Play opened my eyes to a whole new world. I’m constantly on the look-out for opportunities to play, having studied the positive impact it has on mental health and well-being. We grow up learning through exploring, building and creating, and yet somewhere along the journey we begin to view play as being purposeless? This book, has challenged me to add more playful moments into each day, and helped me to realise that I am missing so many small moments that will ultimately bring me the most joy.
I don’t like being taken out of my comfort zone, but I definitely need it ,and ’The Little Book of Play’ has been a great vessel for this. It unlocked a whole different aspect of thinking/play and encouraged me to simply enjoy something without overthinking it. It was a great aid to break the seriousness of everyday life and just indulge in being playful, individually as well as involving others to join in.
This in a business or work environment was great to at times relieve the stress and pressure that surrounds us, and in turn allow a fresher, clearer thinking mind.
If you’re seeking a break from the seriousness of adult life, ‘The Little Book of Play’ is the perfect escape. This book reignites your youthful spirit with its playful activities and encourages creativity without boundaries.
Whether you’re in finance or any other field, the book offers a much-needed respite from the relentless focus on work. Embrace the joy of spontaneity and rediscover the simple pleasure of having fun. With each activity, you’ll feel rejuvenated and reminded of the importance of letting loose. Dive into this delightful journey and reconnect with the carefree joy of childhood.
Creativity isn’t just about artistic skills like drawing or painting. It’s about lateral thinking, resourcefulness, and approaching problems in new ways, all of which are essential life skills. Daily, we face various problems, but our thinking becomes more predictable as we age. ’The Little Book of Play’ suggests playful activities to help see things differently and break from typical approaches. These light, varied activities encourage practicing creativity in fun ways, reminding us that creativity is more about perspective and problem-solving than artistic talent.
A pleasant mixture between games and activities that take your mind away from the mundane of day to day tasks! Some even translate into your daily routine without you even noticing, bringing a smile and a laugh at the most random times.
This whimsical book is a delightful surprise for adults seeking creative inspiration. I felt as though I was being expertly guided through playful exercises that ignited my imagination and resulted in some wonderful out-of-the-box thinking.
Almost every activity resulted in laughter, introspection, and a renewed sense of joy. While some of the activities challenged my artistic skills, they were all opportunities for self-expression and lighthearted exploration.
Embrace the joy of playfulness and rediscover the power of creativity with this delightful book.
